Weâve seen lots of expensive tablets. Some were with high price tag because of the display, others because of the design or ecosystem, but the Panasonic FZ-A2 costs $2,189 for a completely different reason. Interestingly enough, the model is Wi-Fi only.
Sometimes businesses need tough devices that can last for hours and can work in various conditions such as factories, roadwork or mining. Thatâs why Panasonic released FZ-A2 with MIL-STD-810G certification. It also has IP65 rating for protection of dust and water.

Th e display is 10.1â WUXGA IPS that can be used even with gloves and works perfectly fine under direct sunlight with 800 cd/sq.m brightness. Underneath it there is Intel Atom Z8550 processor with 3GB RAM. The battery is said to last 9 hours and unlike most tablets, this one can be replaced. All the ports, along with the USB-C for charging, are hidden under a side panel that opens and closes, so no fine particles get inside.
Since it is a business model, there are additions such as barcode reader and smartcard reader. And because it is so professionally oriented, the price also goes in this direction. Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A2 costs $2,189 - for that amount of money the tablet better be able to take a lot of abuse.
