See the Xiaomi Mi 5X internals in this teardown

Thanks to the first teardown of the Xiaomi Mi 5X we see the internals and also get some basic instructions on how to open up the phone. Its reasonably simple, as far as modern smartphones go.

After you pry open the back panel youll see the motherboard, sub board and the battery. The disassembly guide warns that the Mi 5Xs internal connectors are not fixed with metal plates and therefore could loosen if the phone is dropped, leading to failures.

Above the 3,080mAh battery you can clearly see the fingerprint module as well as the mother board containing the Snapdragon 625 chip and the RAM and storage.

One of the images shows the dual 12MP back cameras, the 5MP front camera and the aforementioned fingerprint module.
